Wrist Supports for Computers – Do They Work?

I was doing some research for this blog yesterday and came across an interesting post at another site. Someone asked a question about those mouse pads with the gel wrist support built into them.and wondered if they helped sore wrists from computer use.  The reply they received was that they did not work! The respondent gave several reasons to support his answer, all of which were a bunch of rubbish.  While his explanation had little to support his conclusion, the biggest error was simply in the statement that they do not work. I know because I have one! I spend 8-10 hours a day on a computer. About 2 months ago, my wrist and thumb were so sore that I could barely open a jar or lift anything with my right hand. I am a very fit person and was completely bummed out about the situation. While visiting someone, I was on their computer and they had a mouse pad with the wrist support built in. I noticed right away that the pain was less than at home. I bought one the next day and within a week or so, my pain was completely gone!

This points out one of the main problems with the internet.
